You have options to register for a Cheney Recreation Program. You can click on the link below to view all programs and register. You will need to create an account if you do not have one. You may also print off a general enrollment form under the "Forms" tab and complete it and return to the office.

Mini Kickers Instructional Soccer
Soccer is a great sport to play for any age. It is a terrific activity to develop footwork and fitness for any future sports. The start of each date will include instructional drills. Then the participants will be divided up and play a mini game with fewer kids on each field. Includes a t-shirt, shirt only guaranteed if signed up by the deadline. Parents encouraged to assist. PARENTS: Just show up the day and time of the activity listed below. No set teams or practices other than what is listed below.
Date: Saturdays, September 12-October 3
Age: Age 3 & 4

Mini Kickers Instructional Soccer
Black belt Paul Frank of Kim’s Academy of Tae Kwon Do is holding classes in Cheney for all ages. Individual or sign up the whole family for this great fitness activity. Participants also learn self-discipline, respect, and esteem. A new session begins each month. Come for a visit before you sign up if you would like.
Day/Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Age: 5 years old through adults
Location: CRC Building
Fee: Individual $35 per month
Family $35 first person, $20 for each additional family member
Gymnastics

Cheer & Tumbling Training
Fun instructors lead your young child through different levels of gymnastics tumbling moves. The program also helps with developing fundamental motor skills and helps young children with learning instructions from a teacher and social skills. Basic tumbling, gymnastic moves & fun games are taught. 2-year-olds must always have a parent with them.

Time/Level: Level I Beginners (age 2/3), 6:00-6:30 p.m.
Level II Advanced Beginners, 6:30-7:00 p.m.
Level III & IV Intermediate, 7:00-7:30 p.m.

If you have a young one that is interested in learning more cheer and tumbling skills Presley Young is offering advanced training to help. Presley has trained and competed at a high level in many competitions with her squad. Sign up for a fun time and improve your skills.

Basketball league for Kindergarten & 1st graders held here in Cheney. Sportsmanship is stressed along with learning the fundamentals of the sport. Coaches will have 1-2 practices during the weeks of the season; they will contact parents with these dates & times. Game play is full court 5 v 5. Volunteer coaches are needed. Practices may begin the week of October 19 after the coaches meeting. Volunteer coaches are needed for this league! Keep the jersey for years of use throughout CRC basketball leagues. Jersey is a reversible mesh tank top with print on both sides. Please indicate jersey size-no guarantees on #’s. Provide your current jersey number if you already have one.

Deadline: Friday, October 2 The Cheney High School Cheerleading squad will instruct this fun clinic. Participants will receive a T-shirt and wear them at the performance. Indicate shirt size on the form, sign up by the deadline to ensure a shirt. Participants will meet 3 times for practice and then perform at halftime of the varsity football game Friday, September 11.Participants get in free at the pass gate.

WSC Youth Basketball League
Jr. Cardinal’s Kindergarten & 1st Grade Basketball League
Jr. Cardinal’s Kindergarten & 1st Grade Basketball League
2nd -6th Graders sign up to play basketball in the Western Sedgwick County Basketball League! All players will be drafted on to teams by the head coaches; team placement is not guaranteed. Teams will travel to play other teams from Andale, Colwich, Garden Plain, St. Mark’s, and Conway Springs. Practices begin the week of October 26 after the coaches meeting, and games will be played on Saturdays during December through early February. The league tournament will be held after league play in late January or February TBA, normally grade younger grades are the weekend prior to the older grades (tentative dates for tournament currently). Check the league website for updates as the season nears. Admission is charged at the tournaments to pay for officials/awards, etc. Coaches will contact players regarding practice times & games shortly after the draft is completed.
